This enjoyable yoga class is open to everyone regardless of age, experience or ability. Enjoy active relaxation through mindful movement. These classes include Asana ( postures), Pranayama ( breathing techniques), Meditation, and Savasana (relaxation). Classes incorporate a mix of Hatha asana with influences from various teaching philosophies. Blankets, Bolsters, Blocks, Yoga Therapy Balls, Straps and Eye Pillows are used for your support, comfort and relaxation. Variations are given for each posture allowing you to find your own best practice.

YIN YOGA & MEDITATION
Yin Yoga invites stillness of the mind and body with poses that ask our connective tissues to relax and lengthen over time. In this slow paced class, we hold postures for longer periods of time creating a deep stretch and greater range of motion. This class ends with a deep relaxation and a meditation practice.
This is a gentle and therapeutic style of Yoga that uses various props to support the body. When the body feels supported it sends the message that it is safe to relax. It is when the body relaxes in this way that deep healing can occur. Restorative yoga poses help us learn to relax and rest deeply and completely. It is a soothing, nurturing and slow paced practice that promotes the healing effects of rest. This is especially helpful for insomnia and anxiety.
